Diatonic Keyboard Strip

Instructions

1. Measure (in millimeters) the length of an octave for your piano or keyboard instrument, as indicated in these images:

2. Download the corresponding PDF document that matches your measured length.

3. Count the number of octaves of your selected piano or keyboard instrument.

4. Print the document in color. Make sure to select ‘actual size’ when printing. Print enough copies of the document to cover one more octave than the full range of your piano or keyboard instrument.

5. Cut the octave strips along the edges.

6. Tape the octave strips to each other while making sure the tonic overlaps with the next strip as shown in these images.

7. Repeat as needed for a full strip.
